Author Noonie Fortin writes from direct experience when she suggests ways to reach young Americans about their predecessors labors of love for our country at war. Most of this book s wartime reminiscences are about women: military personnel, USO performers, Red Cross workers, Martha Raye and other Hollywood stars, mothers of those who gave their lives, but men also contributed their stories about legend Martha Raye.
Fortin shares her experiences of speaking to and participating with Veterans and community groups all over the country since her first book, Memories of Maggie, was published (1995).
