Richard Trout is an environmental biologist, consultant, and college professor dedicated to promoting the conservation of natural resources and protection of endangered species. Trout has lived the undersea adventures that most of us can only dream of by diving the rugged coast and kep beds of California, the Virgin Islands' statuesque staghorn coral reefs, and the mighty Cayman Wall. He was a writer on Earth Day topics for the Oklahoma Observer for several years.
Trout is an amateur history and geography buff, who has taught himself to read hieroglypics, and includes these elements in his well-researched novels. His first three novels in the MacGregor Family Series are Cayman Gold: Lost Treasure of Devils Grotto (Book 1-January, 2000), Elephant Tears: Mask of the Elephant (Book 2-July, 2000), and Falcon of Abydos: Oracle of the Nile (Book 3-November, 2000).
