Gerald Locklin was born in New York and educated by nuns in Rochester.He received his B.A from St. John Fisher College in 1961, received his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in 1963 and 1964.He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, The Hemingway Society, The E.E. Cumnmings Society and the Western Literature Association. Locklin frequently travels to England for readings. He currently lives and teaches in Southern California.
