Prescription For A Better Life Starting over means making a change. It won't be easy to change your life, but it will be worth the effort. This book contains a prescription for a better life. The instructions on this prescription are threefold:

1) Learn Torah. Before you can take action to change your life, you must have a clear mind and a set of guidelines. The best guidelines you can find anywhere are the ones found in the Torah. But if this is the first time you're using the Torah in this way, you may have to ask yourself some questions: How can one know G-d and His ways? What does it mean to be a knowing or spiritual human being? What does it mean to live a life based on Torah? As you proceed, more questions are sure to come up, but you must always keep in mind that to change your life you'll need a map and with Torah you will have a clear, sure direction.

2) Take Twelve Steps. Once you have a goal or direction, you need a method of implementation-a system of change. The Twelve Steps can help you make the changes you need and keep you on the path to a healthy life based on the wisdom of the Torah. Without Torah, your direction might not be clear and your progress to recovery may be hampered. Without a system of change like the Twelve Steps, you might not be able to get to where you need to go.

3) Call G-d in the Morning. Through prayer you can contact the Healer of healers. This is similar to when you are physically sick and you need to contact a doctor. Prayer is simply turning to G-d for help. By reciting the formalized prayers written centuries ago, you are asking for the very things a person must have to live as a thinking, spiritual human being. Success will be achieved only with G-d's help. You must find a way to forge a connection with G-d. Prayer can help you do this. Learning Torah, following the Twelve Steps, and prayer are each important. Taken individually, they might not be enough to institute the changes that you need. Together, they are a powerful combination for anyone who is struggling to change.

You may still be thinking: Do I really need this information? Will I really benefit from this prescription? Is this system for me? I wrote this book to share my discovery with others who are dissatisfied with their lives and would like to change.
