His in-the-field articles emphasize the enjoyment and increased appreciation of the hunt. He is field editor for the Whitetails Unlimited, Inc., publication, "The Deer Trail" and a feature muzzleloading writer for "The Trapper & Predator Caller". Pete resides with his wife Christine in Gloversville, New York, in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains.
