Rungs on my Ladder is a soul-stirring autobiography of a young woman who had a horrific life-changing experience something that would have made many of us just fold up and give up. No, not Eleanor. She had an unwritten song to share with the world, and by the help and grace of God she has done just that. Hers is a story of pain, of struggles, trials and triumph. - Minister Candi Staton, Stone Mountain, Georgia Eleanor Riley s beautiful and inspirational autobiography, Rungs on my Ladder, is a compelling tale of faith. Riley has combined the many challenges she has confronted in life with appropriately selected passages from the Bible to illustrate the message that our Lord has for us, His children, if only we would take heed and believe that with Him all things are possible. In particular, she recounts how at an early age she found the Lord, and never looked back despite the devil s attempts to lead her astray. The Lord kept on lifting her higher and higher and, as she acknowledges, with the use of each rung of her ladder, the Lord would replace not repair recognizing that the rungs may have to be used again with every new challenge as she moved up in faith. Not only is this book a must-read for all Christians regardless of persuasion, but it is for all those who seek to lead in the Christian faith as well. Readers will undoubtedly enjoy this autobiography of a rural Jamaican girl with simple and modest beginnings in life, as well as appreciate her courage, determination and daring in her quest to serve our Lord with malice towards none, despite the many adversities she had to overcome throughout her fascinating life. Readers will be truly inspired by this autobiography. - Colonel Allan G. Douglas, Company Director
