Synopsis

About the Author

Karen Howell is an award-winning artist. She is an avid sailor choosing marine settings for many of her watercolors and sketches. Having also been raised amid the natural splendor of the Les Cheneaux Islands, her artful interpretation of its local scenery is well captured on the covers and the many sketches within. Robert A. Lytle, a Saginaw native, a former Les Cheneaux resorter, and Mackinac Island summer employee, is a retired pharmacist. His love for the Straits area has never diminished and is demonstrated by the warmth of his writings set in the Straits of Mackinac.
