Stephen W. Bell has been a newspaper and wire service journalist in Upstate New York for 19 years, working for the Associated Press in Albany and Buffalo and the Buffalo News in a variety of positions. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and has his master's degree from the State University of New York at Albany. Bell has won several journalism awards and has taught journalism and writing courses at the University of Buffalo since 1993. He lives in Amherst with his wife, Ginny, and their three children.
