About the Author

Richard Kramer, Ph.D. is president of Innoative Pest Management (IPM) in Brookeville, Md. Prior to starting IPM with his son Josh in 2004, Dr. Kramer served in the U.S. Army for 22 years as a medical entomologist. Following military retirement, he served five years as research, educational, and technical director for the National Pest Management Association; seven years as technical director for a large pest management company; and two years as an industry consultant.

Dr. Kramer is a board-certified entomologist in urban and general entomology and member of the Entomological Society of America and Pi Chi Omega as well as a member, past peresident, and director of the Maryland State Pest Control Association.

Joshua Kramer is vice president of IPM and son of Dr. Kramer. Joshua attended the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, and founded Innovative Pest Management in 2004 with his partners Luke Krikstan, Shari Silverman and his father Dr. Richard Kramer.
