Synopsis

Times Tables the Fun Way Book for Kids teaches all the multiplication facts with engaging, colorful, cartoons and stories. Since 6x3 is the same fact as 3x6 there are no reversals, each fact presented once to include all the facts 0s-9s. Once students learn the story and the number characters, they remember the punch line to the story which is the answer to the fact. Studies show this method has been proven to increase retention of the multiplication facts. Students love the stories and beg for math class. To teach 6x6 the story tells of twin sixes who head off to visit their cousins. They must cross the desert and get very low on water. Just when the situation becomes dire, they run into a cool, clear, pond of sparkling water. The sign says the water is for "thirsty sixes." which sounds like the answer to 6x6, 36. When students see 6 x 6, they remember the story and then they remember the answer. Adults who used to be kids still remember learning these clever and fun stories when they were in elementary school. This method is research based and has been a successful tool for students all over the US to learn the basic facts. Also available is the Times Tables the Fun Way Student Workbook and Times Tables the Fun Way Flip Book of Clue Cards.
