About the Author

D. Jeff Burton, BS, MS, PE, CIH, has degrees in mechanical engineering and occupational and environmental health. He is an internationally-known engineering consultant and the author of popular books, training courses, and self-directed study programs in industrial ventilation and HVAC.

Jeff has served as President (1997-1998) and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, a membership organization of over 12,000 professionals. He is also a member of ACGIH and ASHRAE. He has been a member of the ACGIH Industrial Ventilation Committee and the ANSI Z9.5 Subcommittee for Lab Ventilation. He is currently Chair of the ANSI Z9.2 Subcommittee on Industrial Ventilation and the ANSI Z9.8 Subcommittee on IAQ/HVAC.
