Iztok Osojnik's voice is a unique voice that records, reacts to and transforms the ironic and contradictory in everyday life into something more perplexing and yet more comprehensible. His poems are always in process, always asserting the world as a conundrum, and yet always asserting something beyond the confusion.
As Osojnik puts it: For me [...poetry]refers to some deep existential dimension of one's personal living. The poem doesn't finally resolve things. It is always a relationship between me, the poem, and a third, the other. So there is always something further to see. It's more like some kind of sensation or looking through a glass, like in September when the sun's rays are at a particular angle and the whole air is full of light.
