About the Author

Salvatore Caccavale, CPEA, is Vice President, Safety, for FirstGroup America the largest provider of surface transportation services in North America. He has been employed in various Corporate Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security leadership roles for Fortune 500 companies for over twenty years. Mr. Caccavale is a Certified Professional Environmental, Health, and Safety Auditor and a former Master s Level Certified Hazardous Materials Manager. Mr. Caccavale has served in several executive office positions with the National Safety Council, most notably as Vice President of the Business and Industry Division and two terms on the Board of Directors. Mr. Caccavale serves on the Editorial Review Board of the American Society of Safety Engineers Professional Safety and the Advisory Board of National Safety Councils Safety and Health. Mr. Caccavale has instructed EHS classes for both the Community College of Beaver County in Center Township, Pennsylvania, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Piscataway, New Jersey.
