Before Dr. Hope, J.A.P.D. (Just A Pretend Doctor) had finished with school he had lived in forty different environments. As a child he lived in foster homes, state run dormitories, with step parents, grandparents and in boarding schools. He saw first hand abuses that most of us can't even imagine. He vowed as an adult that one day he would help make the world a better place for children. He started the ¨Life Lessons Series¨of which Chip, the Little Computer is one of; to help kids get a head start on life. His publisher has two more of his titles in pre press that will be released in 1999-2000. He is an active supporter of Childhelp USA, a non profit organization that tirelessly fights child abuse and neglect. He volunteers his time and donates a portion of his royalties from the ¨Life Lesson Series¨ to that organization.
