Synopsis

About the Author
Roy Chandler has spent a lifetime gaining the experiences a man of his era believed important. He describes himself (as is already in place on his gravestone) as an Author, Educator, Soldier and Patriot. He should add Adventurer because that is what he really has been. As a writer, he has had more than sixty books published. As an educator, he held, among other positions, Head Teacher of the Birch School in the Fairbanks North Star School System. A soldier? He served twenty years in the US Army. Patriotism is a part of military service, of course, and the author served in the Pacific during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Roy Chandler (most call him Rocky because he lived on Alcatraz Island for four youthful years) rides Harley-Davidsons as most men drive their pickups. Adventuring? He is still at it, and... just keeps going.
