About the Author

Dick B. is a Writer, Historian, Bible student, Retired attorney, and active recovered member of the A.A. Fellowship. He has sponsored more than 100 men in their recovery. He has devoted 18 years to researching, analyzing, assembling, publicizing, and disseminating the facts about early A.A.'s history, roots, principles and practices. This is his 32nd published title and is accompanied by more than 180 articles and 30 audio talks that help recovery workers and recovering people to have a full and complete new life, enduring sobriety, and pleasant abstinence. Dick is a hands-on AA. He has attended thousands of meetings, spoken at conferences and seminars, and served within the fellowship. More important, he has held on to his Christian faith, his enthusiastic interest in the Bible, his reliance on the Creator in day to day life, and the firm conviction that he can help others if they are informed about the real A.A. of yesteryear, the successful fellowship of the 1930's, and the simple program which won the attention of a world hungry for a spiritual solution to alcoholism.
