Poetry. Gay / Lesbian. "Compressed as these spare lyrics are, they open to an unmistakable amplitude: the life of feeling honored, observed, sung. "...luck could sing from every word on this page," Trish Reeves writes; these moving and genuine poems are the readers' good fortune" --Mark Doty.

En Face
The way a woman
carries silence in her womb
until the child touches air--
that's how I went looking for you,
your naked touch,
your form vaguely specific.
When I found you
and you threw your shawl about us,
those who looked from windows,
even those who stared for hours,
could set no example.
