Synopsis

Strange Indeed! The Land of the Midnight Sun has some intriguing tales. Some seem a bit far fetched, but never-the-less they have been documented by first hand accounts. Amazing Accounts! Robert Service summed it up best in his poem when he said, "There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold."

True Tales unfold in these pages of this unique book. These are rare short stories told down through the years and are a reflection of people in the great north, along rivers, in villages, near highways, on the ocean. Truly a "Believe it or not," book.

From the Author

I was raised in a gold mining camp in the Circle mining district near the Yukon River. My mentors were all old timers who had been in the gold rush or who had roamed the north in search of gold. During summer months my brothers and I collected prehistoric bones like mammoth and mastodons from ancient tailing piles and mud banks. I spend a lot of time roaming the back country, and prospecting for gold throughout Alaska and the Yukon Territory, collecting stories, and photographing ghost towns and other unique northern scenes.
