About the Author:
Susan Yuzna was educated at the University of Iowa and Minnesota before earning her MFA from the University of Montana, where she was the Richard Hugo Memorial Poetry Scholar. A 1995-96 Bush Writing Fellow, she now lives with her son in New Brighton, Minnesota.
Review:
"She goes to the heavenly by way of the hellish, without apology, with a fearsome clarity and a bellyful of memory. Embedded - in that sense, worldy - by turns cool or aroused, hers is a voice one imagines might not have spoken thus except for poetry. Here is also a kind of fierce catching-up, a gathering, and the beauty in it will make you smile and the force of it may make you wince." -- Marvin Bell
