Joyce Armstrong Carroll, writer and teacher, trains teachers in the teaching of writing, and teaches novelists and academicians about writing for publication. She co-directs the New Jersey Writing Project in Texas and travels throughout Texas and the United States giving workshops on what she loves writing and the teaching of writing. Her many publications include Acts of Teaching: How to Teach Writing, The Best of Dr. JAC, Jesus Didn't Use Worksheets, Dr. JAC's Phonics Friendly Books, and the Prentice Hall Writing and Grammar Series: Grades Six through Twelve. She co-edited the award-winning poetry anthology Poetry After Lunch: Poems to Read Aloud.
