About the Author

Paul Jacobsen is an Associate Professor of Science Education, author and a critic. He has taught at colleges and universities in the United States and overseas. He is the author of numerous research papers and journal articles and coauthor of six books published over a period of nearly two decades of a highly successful career in professional education. Dr. Jacobsen is a reconceptualist. He began a serious but leisurely study of the subject of this book way back in the early nineteen seventies. He has interviewed scores of men and women, experimented with the methods and techniques offered in this book, and experienced the many grand joys claimed, for over twenty years!
