About the Author:

Born in 1936, Warren grew up on the historic Grant-Kohrs Ranch at Deer Lodge, Montana, now a national historic site. In addition to writing seven novels, notably the bestselling THE FRONT RUNNER, she has written widely for U.S. magazines and newspapers. Her 1982 Reader's Digest article "Saga of an American Ranch" won the National Cowboy Hall of Fame's Western Heritage award for magazine writing that year. Warren's first nonfiction anthology was her awardwinning THE LAVENDER LOCKER ROOM (an Independent Publisher Gold Medal) in 2006. MY WEST is her second anthology. She lives in the San Fernando Valley of California today.
