About the Author
Lesley Ward is the editor of Young Rider, a magazine dedicated to teaching young people, in an easy-to-read and entertaining way, how to properly look after their horses and safely improve their riding skills.
She is the author of The Horse Illustrated Guide to Western Riding, The Horse Illustrated Guide to English Riding, The Horse Illustrated Guide to Buying a Horse, and The Horse Illustrated Guide to Caring for Your Horse, as well as three other "How-to" books for children.
Lesley lives on a farm in Kentucky, in the heart of the bluegrass, with four horses. She enjoys eventing, trail riding, and teaching children how to ride.
