About the Author

Robert Forte interned with Stan Grof before studying history and the psychology of religion at the University of Chicago. He has taught at the University of California at Santa Cruz, and served on the board of directors of the Hoffman Foundation. Since 1985 has has been president of the Church of the Awakening.
