In his Introduction" to this book, Walter Lanyon writes: " This collection of notes and lectures was compiled after a year's work in England, at the conclusion of a two years' cruise around the world. The gist of the book is to establish reliance; to bring to the attention of man the nature of his True Self which has been called the 'Christ consciousness'; and to cause him to see that by becoming one with this Power he is the Power in action. No more will he attempt to use this Power, once he understands that he is the Power."

Little is known about Walter C. Lanyon, except that he was an American born Englishman, educated in this country, England, France and Germany. He died in California in 1967.
Walter Lanyon was the author of over forty books on Truth which have had a wide and continued circulation. Though most of his books are now out of print, there remains a constant demand for them. He traveled and lectured all over the world, basing his lectures, as he said, " solely on the revelation of Jesus Christ."
He felt that the very simplicity of the WORD was the point that baffled most Truth students.
{In addition to his books, apparently Walter Lanyon wrote two light operas, many secular stories, plays and articles, all of which are now lost. This is also true of paintings he is said to have exhibited in Europe and the U.S.
From Chapter 4: Resist Not Resist not evil."
That which you resist is to you real. A thing that becomes real cannot be destroyed. That which you fight as evil, fights back with equal force, since it is but the reflex action of your own belief. A rubber ball thrown against a wall will return without effort on your part. The contour of a rubber ball is destroyed by grasping it firmly in the hand, and nothing can restore its natural shape until the resistance is released. Then quite automatically the ball assumes its normal condition. The same is true of any organ of your body. That organ which is constantly in thought, constantly worked with or held in mind is usually diseased. That body which is fatigueless and perfect is the body which is more out of thought.
A circumstance is only as old as the last thought about it. Any time the thought about it is changed the manifestation instantly disappears.
