About the Author:

Bud Feder is an experienced group therapist trained by Laura Perls, the co-founder of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy. Long a resident of NJ/NY, he has recently moved his home and practice to Berkeley, CA. He is the author of three other books: Peeling The Onion, the co-author of Beyond The Hot Seat; Gestalt Approaches to Group, and the editor of A Living Legacy to Fritz and Laura Perls, plus numerous other articles and papers on Gestalt Groups. Long needed in the Gestalt and other psychotherapeutic communities, is this type of manual that tells the beginning group therapist how to start, lead, and effectively manage a group, and the members in it so that it is a healing and learning experience for all. I have been leading groups for thirty years, and I still found many of Bud's suggestions very helpful and insightful.
