About the Author

For almost 20 years, Patrick Snow has studied the field of personal growth and development. Today, as an author, speaker, coach, and entrepreneur, he is an expert on how to discover and create your ultimate destiny in life! As a result, he has become a business-ownership advocate and has been called the "The Dean of Destiny" by high achievers nationwide.

Patrick is author of, Creating Your Own Destiny – How to Get Exactly What You Want Out of Life. This book is the ultimate success road map for high achievers and has sold thousands of copies nationwide since it was first published in July 2001. He is also the co-author of, Inspiring Breakthrough Secrets to Live Your Dreams, published in December 2001.

Patrick, originally from Michigan, graduated from the University of Montana in 1991 with a degree in political science and a minor in Asian studies. At U of M, he also studied Japanese and business management. Upon graduation, he moved to Seattle, and has held various sales-management positions at Fortune 500 companies, including Airborne Express and Avis Rent A Car. Patrick has built a rewarding career in high-tech sales (selling printed circuit boards) and has also interviewed thousands of unsatisfied employees throughout North America. As a result, he has become an expert on what it is that people really want in life!

Patrick and his wife Cheryl, a criminal deputy prosecuting attorney for King County, have lived in the greater Seattle area since 1991. They moved to Bainbridge Island, in September 1997 upon the completion of their home. They are blessed with two young boys. In addition to his busy career, Patrick volunteers his time in his community by coaching youth basketball and baseball. He also sits on the board of directors for the Bainbridge Island High School Business Education Advisory Committee.

What is destiny? Webster's Dictionary defines the word as meaning "fate". Look up fate in the dictionary and you will see that fate means "the supposed force that predetermines events". I believe that this supposed force is our MIND (or brain). If we use our mind properly by taking action and executing our ideas and opportunities presented to us in a way that we are truly capable of, then WE become the supposed force that predetermines the events that occur in our lives. Thus destiny means to me the ultimate purpose (fate) each of us has here on Earth. Destiny is what each of us, as unique individuals, are put on Earth to do, to become. Our destiny reside within us. It is our freedom, the great potential that we have, the supposed force waiting only for our minds to unleash it.

Once you decide what it is that you really want our of life, your mind will be your ONLY competition. When you start to believe and trust in yourself and your own unique passions, you will conquer your mind's current self-limiting beliefs. These limiting beliefs are the only roadblock or obstacle that can hold you back from getting all of what it is that you really want in life.
