About the Author

Karen Braucher has won the Grolier Prize, the Worcester Poetry Prize, and an Oregon Literary Arts Fellowship. Her poems have appeared in many literary journals, including Nimrod, The Spoon River Review, and Puerto Del Sol, as well as five anthologies. Her award-winning chapbook, Heaven's Net, was published in 1997. In 1992, she traveled with her husband to the People's Republic of China to adopt a baby girl. She live in Portland, Oregon.
