About the Author
Darolyn K. Wall , CIH, CSP is director of SCarlett Professional Development,an industrial hygiene and safety training and consulting firm. Wall holds a masters degree in preventive medicine and environmental health from the University of Iowa,. Her experience includes over 10 years as manager of health, safety, and environmental services at AlliedSignal. She is a member of The American Industrial Hygiene Association and the American Society of Safety Engineers.

Darolyn Wall has taken a unique approach to our thirst for concise information presented in easy to read snippets. It has 20 chapters covering everthing from recognition of potential health hazards to their control.
It also goes beyond the usual topical coverage for a fundamental text in industrial hygiene. This includes valuable chapters on topics such as the historical development of the profession; bilogical hazards, ergonomics, industrial processes and their associated health hazards, environmental issues, and ethics and management. Those new to the field will especially appreciate the chapter on chemical hazards.
