About the Author
Three Rivers That Spawned the City of Champions stands as Greg Spalding's fourth book and serves as a complete history of three of the most special decades in Pittsburgh sports history. Greg went to his first Pirate game in 1970 at thte age of 12 and attended the last Bucco game at Three Rivers in 2000 at the ripe age of 42. So this book chronicles incredible memories, especially for a generation of fans who grew to love this edifice. Over the years, Greg has attended several Steeler games as well. So few people can write about this edifice's history like Mr. Spalding.
