Julie McIntosh Johnson received the degrees Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy and Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Redlands. In addition to studio teaching and theory tutoring, her experience includes teaching piano, theory, and ear training at the University of Redlands, theory, ear training and sight reading at the University of Redlands Summer Piano Camp, class piano at the University of Oregon, and classes for young children at the Yamaha Research and Development Center. She is the author of the highly popular Basics of Keyboard Theory workbook series, and Julie Johnson s Guide to AP Music Theory. She has written many of the Music Teachers Association of California Certificate of MeritTM Piano Theory Tests. Presently, Ms. Johnson teaches in Yorba Linda, California.
