Maryellen Weimer has over 25 years of experience in college teaching. She is a well-known writer, speaker, and proponent of effective teaching practices. She was the director of the Instructional Development Program at Pennsylvania State University for 10 years and served as associate director at the National Center on Postsecondary Teaching, Learning, and Assessment.
Maryellen has authored numerous books, including How Am I Teaching? Forms and Activities for Acquiring Instructional Input (with Joan Parrett and Mary-Margaret Kerns) and Teaching College: Collected Readings for the New Instructor (with Rose Ann Neff). She presents at workshops and conferences throughout the US and Canada. Currently, she is professor of Speech Communications at Berks Lehigh Valley College of Pennsylvania State and editor of the Teaching Professor newsletter.
