From the Author:
We're Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, and we've been writing science fiction and fantasy novels and short stories together for around 20 years, including the Liaden Universe® science fiction series and the Kinzel fantasy stories. We'd like to thank you for taking the time to read the fine print here on the Amazon.com page, especially if you've never read any of our books or stories before.

If you aren't familiar with our work, we write character-oriented fiction, usually with a lot of action and adventure. Honor plays an important part in our work, and in the case of The Tomorrow Log, we wanted a chance to work with what happens when a well-established lone thief is put in circumstances where he'll have to work with others to thrive or even to survive.

Readers of the Liaden Universe® won't be surprised to find a blade or two in evidence, though we think you'll quickly see that Gem ser'Edreth is not a simple Val Con clone, nor will you find anyone quite like The Witness for the Telios in our other work.

So please enjoy The Tomorrow Log we hope you'll come back here to let others know you did.

Thanks!

Sharon Lee and Steve Miller

About the Author:
Sharon Lee and Steve Miller live in the rolling hills of Central Maine. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, they met several times before taking the hint and formalizing the team in 1979. They removed to Maine with cats, books, and music following the completion of Carpe Diem, their third novel.

Their short fiction, written both jointly and singly, has appeared or will appear in numerous anthologies and magazines, including Catfantastic, Such a Pretty Face, Absolute Magnitude, 3SF, and several incarnations of Amazing.

Meisha Merlin Publishing has or will be publishing ten novels cleverly disguised as seven books in Steve and Sharon's Liaden Universe® – Partners in Necessity, Plan B, Pilots Choice, I Dare, Balance of Trade and two as yet untitled -- The Tomorrow Log, first of the Gem ser Edreth adventures, and the anthology Low Port, edited by Sharon and Steve. Sharon has also seen a mystery novel, Barnburner, published by Embiid in electronic and SRM Publisher, Ltd in paper.

I Dare has been an Amazon.com and a Locus magazine bestseller. Pilots Choice (including novels Local Custom and Scout's Progress) was a finalist for the Pearl Award. Local Custom took second place in the 2002 Prism Awards for best futuristic romance, while Scout's Progress took first place.

Both Sharon and Steve have seen their non-fiction work and reviews published in a variety of newspapers and magazines. Steve was the founding curator of the University of Maryland's Kuhn Library Science Fiction Research Collection, and former Nebula Award juror. Sharon served three years as the executive director of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, Inc. and is the current president of that organization.

Sharon's interests include music, pine cone collecting, and seashores. Steve also enjoys music, plays chess, and collects cat whiskers.
