About the Author:

Richard Deutch was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1944 and graduated from Bard College in 1967. His poems have appeared in magazines, including "The Nation," "River Styx," "Poetry Northwest," "Western Humanities Review," and "Stand" (UK). He has published eight books of poetry and prose in the US, UK, and Australia. Deutch has worked as a university lecturer, journalist, master of Latin at and English prep school, literary agent, and film critic. He lives with his son on one of Sydney's northern beaches and, from time to time, in Bellville, Illinois.
