About the Author

Frank Berto is the former engineering editor of Bicycling Magazine and the author of two other bicycle books: Bicycling Magazine's Guide to Upgrading Your Bicycle and The Birth of Dirt: The Origins of Mountain Biking. He currently is technical correspondent for Australian Cyclist. For The Dancing Chain, he is grateful to acknowledge the contributions by international experts, including Tony Hadland and Gordon Selby, of England, Raymond Henri, of France, Walter Ulreich, of Austria.
