Set amongst the spectacular background of Sedona and its inhabitants, Skulls of Sedona is a provocative follow up to Stiff in the Freezer. When Tony Kozol packs his bag and his guitar and heads to Sedona to back up a friend at a New Age conference, murder follows. And the only thing stranger than the murder are the colorful suspects at the conference, not to mention the real stars of the event, the Crystal Skulls, and now, they`re missing! With this second book in the series, J.R. Ripley returns with another murderous predicament for the hapless ex-attorney, ex-restauranteur and now struggling musician and amateur sleuth, Tony Kozol.

J.R. Ripley was born in Michigan and now writes novels while residing in Florida. In addition to his critically acclaimed mysteries, he is also the author of the Big Deal children's chapter book series, written as Glenn Meganck. This is his second Tony Kozol mystery.
Non-practicing Florida attorney Tony Kozol (Stiff in the Freezer) hopes to earn some much-needed cash by playing his guitar at an Arizona New Age conference. Spirit-induced music, mediums, fortune-telling, and ancient, alien-enhanced crystal skulls aside, Tony finds his credibility challenged by the murder of the spacey former college roommate who invited him there. He can't make up his mind who killed his friend--the rejected one-time lover, the jealous rival, the married-but-promiscuous hot-tub masseuse, or a host of others. Wacky characters, liquid prose, frequent humor, and a decidedly light plot place this in the fun, breeze-to-read category. Readers who enjoyed Sharon McCrumb's Bimbos of the Death Sun will also get a kick out of this.
