About the Author

Andy Dousis coaches teachers and supports schools implementing the Responsive Classroom approach to teaching. He taught third and fourth grades for ten years and lives in Connecticut with his wife and their two daughters.

Margaret Berry Wilson taught primary grades in Tennessee and California for fifteen years and presented Responsive Classroom workshops for ten years. She lives with her husband, their adorable son, and their aging but perfect dog Mudge.
