Synopsis

Author/therapist David Lima believes that LoveWork is the most important element in the creation of loving, lasting relationships. When partners are actively engaged in meeting each other's expectations, love is more readily achieved. When expectations are met, relationship satisfaction increases - you love what your partner is doing for you, and you love your partner for doing it! This is the essence of LoveWork and the credible and well-written message found in The Love Workbook. Dr. Albert Ellis says... "David Lima beautifully combines some of the most useful methods of thought and action to produce a practical and valuable guide to love and life." Author/therapist David Lima brings to life a 5-step approach for helping couples create genuine, lasting love in their relationships. He shows couples:

- How to identify expectations they have but are unable to verbalize. - How to define their expectations so they will know exactly what each wants. - How to communicate these ideas to each other so there's no doubt about them. - How to negotiate with each other so they can get what they want. - How to monitor each other's efforts to ensure expectations are met now and in the future.

In addition, he provides solutions to couples when problems are encountered in the LoveWork process. During his 33 years of counseling, David Lima has helped thousands of couples resolve relationship difficulties through the LoveWork process.

The Love Workbook will be immensely interesting to a large percentage of the adult population who are interested in discovering love, finding a partner, resolving relationship problems or improving relationship intimacy.
