Great-Grandma Allen rocks in her rocking chair sewing aprons for the church bazaar. As she pauses to relax, she leans back in her chair and pulls a quilt over her knees. "This is the empty space in time where lessons are learned and dreams come true," she murmurs. The old chair creaks like pine trees in the wind. Maddison crawls up onto Grandma's lap.
