About the Author
Janet Lunn is one of Canada's most respected writers for children. Her many awards include the Canadian Library Association Book of the Year Award for Children both for The Root Cellar and Shadow in Hawthorn Bay. Christopher Moore is a distinguished historian and writer who specializes in presenting history to general audiences. He is the author of Louisbourg Portraits, winner of the Governor General's Award for Non-Fiction, and one of the co-authors of The Illustrated History of Canada. Alan Daniel's illustrations have appeared in a wide variety of books for adults and children, including Heritage of Canada, The Orchestra, and Bunnicula.
