About the Author:
Born in Darjeeling, India, Olivia Fletcher is a writer, story teller, gardener, mother, wife and Hornby Islander. She attended school in both England and Wales where she studied journalism, then joined the Navy where she served as a coder. In 1953, she emigrated to Montreal where she worked as a reporter for the Montreal Star and in 1958 she moved to Hornby Island where she currently lives with her husband, John.
