Synopsis
As cities continue to grow at unprecedented rates, more and more people are looking for peaceful, weekend retreats in mountain or rural communities. About the Author
Robert William Sandford is an ecological historian and expert on western water resources living in Alberta, Canada, and is currently Chair of the Canadian Partnership Initiative of the United Nations International "Water for Life" Decade and is Past Chair of the 2002 United Nations International Year of Mountains.
