About the Author
Pete Sanders retired after 30 years practising as a counsellor, educator and clinical supervisor. He has written, co-written and edited 14 books on counselling, psychotherapy and mental health. He is a trustee of the Soteria Network.

For me it remains by far the best text for those embarking on introductory courses in counselling not only because of the richness of its content but also because of its engaging style... this book contains not a single boring paragraph. Professor Brian Thorne.
