391p, B&W photos with illustrations by the author. Autobiography by Bernard Venables, the English angling expert whose newspaper cartoons featuring Mr Crabtree inspired a generation. His love of fishing which began when he was six and lasted into his nineties, attracted millions to his work. His most successful book, Mr Crabtree Goes Fishing, was a guidebook for novices and a manual for more advanced anglers. He wrote more than 18 angling books and played a big role in launching Angling Times and the now defunct magazine Creel.
