Arthur Hunter-Blair, born in 1943, served an apprenticeship as a fitter at ICI before signing on for the merchant navy. Since the age of 22 he has dedicated himself to following his true vocation as an artist. This little book contains 10 woodcuts depicting various artists, poets and writers such as Otto Dix, Arthur Rimbaud, Emil Noble, and William Blake, with a quote from their writings on the facing page. At the end of the book is A Note on Woodcutting by Michael Thorp and a brief biography of Arthur Hunter-Blair that is illustrated with a small woodcut. The booklet is staple-bound in the original thin card covers with black wrap-around titling. The booklet is in excellent condition and the contents are secure and clean with no inscription.
