Dreams Fantasises and Nightmares From Faraway Lands focuses on rock, pop, beat, folk, folk-rock, blues-rock, psychedelia, flower pop, garage, progressive rock and more from Canada and Australasia in the era. It was first published in 1999 and also included an introduction to Latin American beat, psychedelia, garage and progressive rock. It was revised in 2008 with a new section on South Africa added.
