About the Author:
Caoilfhionn Nic Phaidin holds degrees in Irish from University College Dublin, and has worked for An Gum, the Royal Irish Academy, and FIONTAR, Dublin City University, which she directed 1999-2006. She co-founded the publishing company, Cois Life, with Sean O Cearnaigh in 1995 to publish literary and research works in the Irish language. She was previously editor of Comhar (1979-84) and of Irish-language columns in The Irish Times, and was a board member of Foras na Gaeilge (2007-2011).
