Includes brief history of the company and the development of Garratt locomotives. This list was compiled from Beyer, Peacock's original records which Dr. Hill saved when the Gorton Foundry closed. It has been thoroughly revised from the original list which was first published by the Newcomen Society (Volume 40, 1967-68) as an appendix to Dr. Hill's lecture "Some Contributions to Locomotive Development by Beyer, Peacock & Co."
