Synopsis
Second volume of a two part work on the Luftwaffe's legendary rocket-powered interceptor with new documentary material and previously unpublished photographs as well as contributions from pilots of this unique and daunting aircraft. This book focuses on the operational story, including a detailed diary of point-defense combat operations conducted over Northern Europe by JG 400. There is also a study of late-war training and of the little-known Italian involvement plus a detailed overview of Me 163-based design projects.

About the Author
Stephen Ransom was born in Oxfordshire, England, and studied aeronautical engineering at the University of Salford. He was employed by various companies' advanced projects offices in the aircraft industry, and also worked for some time in the space industry. He has a deep interest in the history of British and German aviation.
