Synopsis

PGCE Professional Workbooks provide a progressive course for trainees on British PGCE programs. They take a developmental approach to trainees' learning, and place the development of teaching skills very firmly in the context of the classroom. The book starts with a resume of the key teaching themes in science, and then gives trainees the opportunity to assess their needs, and to start work at a level appropriate to their experience. The core of the book is made up of learning opportunities and activities at three progressive Getting Started, Developing your Skills, and Extending your Skills. The book concludes by looking forward to the induction year and ongoing professional development.

Review

"Very clearly laid out...plotting a route through [this book] is easy. The language is professional but understandable with a wholly-supportive tone" (Child Education)
